Pets' Paradise

Every so often, the published findings of a new study undertaken somewhere in the world show that pet animals enhance the health and well-being of their human owners. This comes as no surprise to most owners, who do what they can to provide the best for their pet. But giving your pet the best is much easier if you understand local norms and regulations.

Four feet and furry

AngloINFO's comprehensive page of information on Essential Animal Information has everything you need to know about owning pet dogs and cats in Spain. It tells you how to buy one, what to do if you lose (or find) one, and it provides information on dog breeds considered dangerous, as well as the responsibilities of their owners.

With the Pet Threats & Animal Dangers INFOrmation Page you can find out about local insects that could endanger your pet's life, while the page on Animal Organisations in Almeria & Granada lists the details of and links to local animal-related organisations, refuges and shelters.

In the Dogs, Cats, Pets & Animals category of The AngloFILE, AngloINFO's local directory of English-speaking businesses, you'll find contact information for all the services you might need: local groomers, obedience trainers, kennels and catteries...

Finally, if you'd like to ask the advice of other local English-speakers, or share some pet-related information, you can do this using the Pets & Animals Discussion Forum
