we are moving over from majorca and are struggling to find a reliable large box van to hire, does anyone know anyone who has one that would rent it out for 2 days, ? and allow us to take it on the ferry to majorca, my hubby is an hgv driver so no problems with the driving, we cant get one in majorca as no hire company has vans large enough

Think you will struggle to hire a van especially to take it off the mainland but maybe one of the local Brits would do the job with you. 2 days seems optomistic from Majorca to Mojacar but you have obviously done the trip before. If you can give me an idea of the total Kilometers & route I can ask a friend but he wont let you self drive. The only time he has lent his van to a "friend" it came back with the spare unrepaired and a big bent along the side door which the guy swore he hadnt done!

Although they are a bit of a distance away from you, we have found way2gohire.com to be very good with vans (you can even take them to the UK (including one way!)).

Failing that, as silly as it seems, you may be better buying a cheap van and reselling it again after the job is done - van hire in Spain is scarce and therefore expensive.

We moved ourselves 3 times and each time it was such hard work. The last time we used a comany and it really was well worth the money. Plus you are insured. I would be tempted to get quotes and use a removal company. Vans really are scarce here.
